Rebecca founded The VAT Team after training at PEM, a mid-tier firm in Cambridge, and subsequently becoming a Director of vatadvice.org. She has a broad experience of VAT issues, particularly in education, charity/not for profit and property sectors. Her passion and technical excellence saw Rebecca elected as VAT Practitioners Group National Technical Chair in 2023, through which she sits on the JVCC and various other advisory boards, engaging with HMRC on behalf of stakeholders.
As Director of Operations and IT at The VAT Team, Daniel has responsibility for business operations, IT infrastructure, security, and client IT onboarding. With over 25 years’ experience in the client services industry, he ensures efficient processes and smooth collaboration between The VAT Team and its clients. Daniel is also responsible for the company’s external marketing design.
Rob started his career in general practice then moved to being a not-for-profit auditor, before specialising in VAT. With a variety of experience to his name, Rob has worked for Top 10, regional and independent VAT firms, building and leading teams in each. His broad knowledge of VAT covers land and property, cross border, not-for-profit and healthcare among other areas.
With 14 years’ working in the professional services industry, Ellie’s passion lies in the understanding of clients. Getting to the heart of what they need and want, she ensures an optimised experience is delivered to every client, from marketing and sales to onboarding and beyond.
With over 40 years’ experience across the private and charity sectors, Tracey brings a wealth of financial and administrative expertise to the team. This includes responsibility for the day-to-day running of finance functions, including the preparation and oversight of management accounts. Highly organised and detail-focused, Tracey has extensive experience in reviewing, implementing, and improving financial and administrative procedures, ensuring robust systems are in place and consistently adhered to.
Holly joined the profession straight from college through an AAT apprenticeship and specialised in VAT from the beginning. Now, with over five years’ experience working in VAT, Holly has developed particular interest and expertise in VAT issues within the land and property sector and enjoys tackling the technical and practical challenges this area presents.
