Rebecca founded The VAT Team after training at PEM, a mid-tier firm in Cambridge, and subsequently becoming a Director of vatadvice.org. She has a broad experience of VAT issues, particularly in education, charity/not for profit and property sectors. Her passion and technical excellence saw Rebecca elected as VAT Practitioners Group National Technical Chair in 2023, through which she sits on the JVCC and various other advisory boards, engaging with HMRC on behalf of stakeholders.
As The VAT Team's IT Director, he is responsible for our security and IT infrastructure as well as client IT onboarding. With over 20 years in the client services industry he has the experience to make the IT process between The VAT Team and our clients run as smoothly as possible. Daniel is also an experienced graphic designer and is responsible for the design of our external marketing.
Rob started his career in general practice then moved to being a not-for-profit auditor, before specialising in VAT. With a variety of experience to his name, Rob has worked for Top 10, regional and independent VAT firms, building and leading teams in each. His broad knowledge of VAT covers land and property, cross border, not-for-profit and healthcare among other areas.
Lisa’s career highlights include positions at Deloitte, Cooper Parry and PKF and leading her own practice, Bedrock. Having been a Partner responsible for growing VAT businesses in various practices, her focus at The VAT Team is assisting clients with strategy and growth. Lisa has specialist knowledge in the Sports industry including governing bodies, football clubs etc.
With 14 years working in the professional services industry, Ellie’s passion lies in the understanding of clients. Getting to the heart of what they need and want, she ensures an optimised experience is delivered to every client, from marketing and sales to onboarding and beyond.
Steve has over 40 years of experience in various industry sectors. His skills within financial management and strategy means he keeps The VAT Team ticking. With responsibility for client compliance and invoicing, Steve ensures we operate correctly, and our clients receive a first-class service.
With 24 years in the business, David has mixture of industry and practice experience from Aviva, Larking Gowen and Bunn Fertilser Ltd to name a few. His key skill set is within land and property, not for profit, partial exemption, VAT return compliance and HMRC VAT audits.
